Caregiving and Aging Tech at CES 2018
TechUrElders here reporting to you live from the CAREGIVING Electronics Show 2018. YES, I said what I said, you read that correctly, the CAREGIVING ELECTRONIC SHOW 2018! The Caregiving Electronic Show is a division within CES founded by me, shh don't tell CES. Here at the Caregiving Electronic Show, we hand select tech featured at the Consumer Electronics Show that would be best suited for caregivers 😃 Brilliant right?
OK ok...the Caregiving Electronics Show is not real, at least not yet. The International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) is real and happening now in Las Vegas! Even though a majority of the technologies featured at CES have nothing to do with aging, caregiving, eldercare, etc. there are still a few technologies that can help us, caregivers.
Let's check out a few of those below.
E-vone
E-Vone - Not red bottoms instead these are connected shoe bottoms. A connected shoe for reduced autonomy seniors. In the case of a fall followed by immobility, the shoe immediately triggers a pre-programmed alarm. "I've fallen and now you automatically know I can't get up"
HIP'Air
SOPHIA
Sophia - the humanoid robot every caregiver is secretly wishing will hurry up and rescue them from caregiving. She's not ready yet 😔
NeoMano Glove
Hip'Air - A fanny pack airbag protecting hips in the event of a dangerous fall. Long live the fanny pack!
Freemie
Freemie - hands-free breast pump will let you discretely pump while partying at the company happy hour #pumpanddump
Oska Pulse
Oska Pulse - a pain relief wearable device and pain-tracking app that promises to help reduce chronic pain. (Oksa is not clinically indicated to treat that chronic pain in the ass in your life)
NeoMano Glove - A robotic glove for paralyzed hands. No joke here this is awesome!
MemoBird
MemoBird - For the non tech/text savvy people in your life this printer automatically prints out messages you send to it from your phone (the messages can be polite or rude 😃 your choice )

Aeolus - the Rosie of Robots it can pick up after your sloppy kids/husband, mop your floors, grab you a Xanax and patrol your home or elders..same thing . 😃
